Today was an incredibly abundant day. A farm to table lunch (where we saw him pick the leaves for our salad), a horseback ride in the most luxurious countryside I've seen in a while; corn, sugar cane, yuca, malanga, beans. And then the animals roaming freely, horses, cows, goats, pigs, chicken (sorry for all the vegans out there). It's an empowering sensation to know that your meals are there, in front of you. Being able to see them grow, helping them thrive and knowing you are growing your nourishment. It's magical!! (and reading my words I realize just how granola I am 🤦♀️).
Then the people. The people!! Hanging out on the “portal” of their homes, watching life go by (or watching us go by 🤷🏼♀️). People so calm and healthy and together. People who have what we desire. Life is so full of contradictions. We work and hustle with the dream of sitting on a hammock and reading a book.... they sit on their hammock dreaming of going to the city for work. I always wonder who it rightside-up in that equation.

The whole day just made me think about my own aspirations. What will be enough for me? when and with what will I feel completely satisfied? lately, I have been leaning more towards a the answer being a mandala herb garden.... but with me, you never know.
